Morning Feel Good Flow

Yoga classes on the beach, designed for all levels

Wednesdays 8:30-9:30 on Playa de Los Cristianos

  • You will be guided through a simple, classic yoga sequence designed to help you stretch, relax & reconnect.

    Expect breathing exercises, a warm-up, standing and seated postures and time for rest.

    You will be invited to move consciously and stretch deeply, allowing your body to release tension and stress, leaving you feeling calm and energised for the rest of the day.

    The gentle, nurturing pace of the class encourages you to focus on your inner experience and respond to this with kindness and understanding.

    Ultimately, this can help you cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion and wellbeing.

Menopause Yoga

A holistic practice designed for women going through perimenopause, menopause and post menopause. The classes are held in an elegant and tranquil yoga studio in Los Cristianos.

Thursday 17:30-19:30 at Ushás Wellness BioCenter

  • You will be guided through a two-hour holistic practice designed for women going through perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.

    Expect an embodied and energising Hatha Yoga flow, Yin postures, relaxing Shavasana, meditation, journal writing and women’s circle where we uplift, support and learn from one another.

    The declining levels of oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone linked to the the menopause, cause a range of physical and psychological symptoms in about 70% of women. Each woman’s experience is unique, however if you feel joint or muscle pain, have headaches, hot flushes, night sweats or broken sleep, low mood or energy, feel stress, anxiety or depression, become easily overwhelmed or feel low in confidence, you are not alone.

    While menopause yoga does not promise to make symptoms disappear, this class aims to strengthen and tone your muscles, improve your balance, use the power of the breath to deepen the connection between your body and mind, as well as sooth your nervous system. This can help you to become stronger, feel more energised, confident and emotionally uplifted. You will leave feeling more positive, better rested, calmer and encouraged to be more compassionate towards yourself.

  • Suitable for all women, of all fitness levels, going through perimenopause, menopause and post menopause.

    Perimenopause is the duration of time from when you first start experiencing symptoms up to the menopause point in time. During this time hormone levels can fluctuate hugely on daily and even hourly basis. Perimenopause can vary in length from a few months to around a decade. As a general rule, the perimenopause begins in early to mid-forties but it can happen later or much earlier for a range of reasons.

    Menopause is usually defined as a year later after a woman’s last menstrual period. Menopause is a decline of the homones oestradiol, progesterone and testosterone, which are produced in the overies and other organs and tissues, including the brain.

    Post menopause is not a defined stage as such. This is because menopause is associated with hormone deficiency which lasts for life.
